Reading

           I grew a lot as a reader this year for my English class. With the many activities and assignments that I was provided, there is no way I could not have improved. The many stories and different ways they were wrote also helped me adapt and learn the different kinds of reading I needed to use. Reading will be especially important in the near future as I will use it to read harder novels and more detailed stories.

           The novels such as Purple Hibiscus and Macbeth are very detailed and hard to read without any help or trying to understand. This is how I was able to improve with my reading skills is by researching and going deeper into the stories to understand the true meanings. The small group presentations we used to make a scene and reading responses also helped me significantly as it gave me a chance to give my opinion but also need the story's meaning so I could give a good opinion. Without these little adjustments to help my reading, I do not know how I would make through the rest of my English classes in the future.
